𝐎𝐍𝐄 𝐁𝐈𝐓𝐄 𝐎𝐅 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐀𝐏𝐏𝐋𝐄, 𝐁𝐔𝐓 𝐖𝐇𝐈𝐂𝐇 𝐀𝐏𝐏𝐋𝐄?🍏

Following on from the theme of yesterday’s post where I talked about procrastination, stagnation or stuck-ness being a result of looking at the whole picture and using the analogy of the apple tree, let’s see where this takes us next...

𝑶𝙣𝒆 𝒃𝙞𝒕𝙚 - 𝙮𝒆𝙨, 𝒃𝙪𝒕 𝒘𝙝𝒊𝙘𝒉 𝒗𝙖𝒓𝙞𝒆𝙩𝒚?

What I realised this morning, after doing one of my BS Shift Method shifts for myself and my own level of stuck-ness, was that my BS belief was ‘what if I take that bite of the apple (in other words do just one thing) and that one thing turns out to be the wrong thing’?

Woah - that opened up a nice juicy can of worms. I just had to get stuck into another BS shift or two.

What transpired was fascinating. As you possibly don’t know what my BS Shift method entails, I’ll give you a quick rundown of the SHIFT:

The BS Shift looks at shifting the old, outdated story that you’ve been telling yourself and living out in your life, digs underneath to find the real reason that’s keeping you stuck. 𝐒𝐇𝐈𝐅𝐓 is an acronym for:

𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗣 𝗢𝗡𝗘: 𝐒

🟢What’s the 𝐒𝐓𝐎𝐑𝐘 you’ve been telling yourself

𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗣 𝗧𝗪𝗢: 𝐇

🟡What’s 𝐇𝐈𝐃𝐃𝐄𝐍 underneath that story (the real reason you’re stuck)

𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗣 𝗧𝗛𝗥𝗘𝗘: 𝐈

🟠Let’s 𝐈𝐍𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐑𝐔𝐏𝐓 that pattern

𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗣 𝗙𝗢𝗨𝗥: 𝐅

🔵Discover the real 𝐅𝐀𝐂𝐓𝐒 in the stuck-ness

𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗣 𝗙𝗜𝗩𝗘: 𝐓

🔴Step into 𝐓𝐑𝐔𝐓𝐇 of who you really are

The BS Shift helps individuals identify and overcome the real reasons that keep them stuck by interrupting old patterns and discovering the truth of who they are. BS ‘Shift’ stands for story, hidden, interrupt, facts, and truth.

𝙎𝙤 𝙗𝙖𝙘𝙠 𝙩𝙤 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙨𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙮...

What I uncovered was, initiaully I thought I was fearful of getting off track, so if I focused on just one thing, the others would get lost. BUT and this is a HUGE BUT - there was more beneath the story. So, digging a little deeper I realised that what I was REALLY fearful of was ‘if I choose just one bite (or one task), then what if that was the wrong task - what if I get it wrong.

🦄OMG, I was so ready to interrupt that pattern!

So, I did a BS Shift on that, amazing what fell out of it. My TRUTH (or the character trait of the person I choose to be) for this lie that I’d been telling myself and am now ready to step into is…

‘I Am Self Belief + I Am Consistency’. Woop woop.

What BS stories are hidden beneath your stuckness, your ‘I’m not good enough’ stories?

𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐠𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐚 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐥 - this one? Simple, I choose a tree I've granted onto which means the branches have different varieties of apples, same tree, with multiple options! So if I bite into one variety (granny smith) and I decide that's not working for me, I can bite into another (cox orange). By all means look at the big picture, then chunk it down to size, that way you'll START and each task seems so much more manageable.
