I was stuck on a London tube platform with no money, no ticket and no passport - sh&^ what to do...
I'd not long arrived in London, having followed the guy I was madly in love with. He was super confident and I, well I wasn't - at that time in my life.
The first intuitive moment should have been obvious when I landed at Gatwick, only to find he wasn't there to meet me (after saying how he missed me so much and persuading me to travel 12,000 miles to be with him).
I called and his flatmate said 'oh, he's just left' - say WHAT, it only takes about an hour to get to Gatwick. Oh well, nothing to do but sit on my bag and wait.
Back to the story...
I was left on the platform with no money, passport or ticket because we'd been about to board the tube (my second ever) and the tube was packed and suddenly the noise that the doors make just before they close sounded and I stepped back and he stepped forward and away the tube went - with him on it, money, tickets, passports.
What to do I asked myself... do I follow the advice to stay put whenever you get lost or do I go to the destination which I was a bit hazy on. In the end I stayed put for a while, then when he didn't come back I decided to go to the next tube stop and get off there, thinking he might have done the same.
Remember, I couldn't exit the tube, because I had no ticket! And of course he hadn't got off at the next stop...
I went to Tottenham Court Road which is where I thought we were headed.
Well, no! I got off the tube and he wasn't there either. All I saw were steps up to the road and a ticket stylus between me and the street and 'freedom'. So I was stuck in the London underground.
Eventually he did turn up, hopping mad (ha, why should he be the one who hopping mad). By that time I was in tears and beside myself. He thought I'd have remembered where we were headed (and I did eventually). So he'd gone off shopping for the camera which we were purchasing with MY money.
This was back at the beginning of my tube ride. I felt an uneasy feeling at not taking charge of my own passport, money and ticket - but I didn't listen to that 'gut feeling'...
Remember from the story, it took me ages to recall our destination of Tottenham Courst Road so my learning was... If you go into 'lose your rag' meltdown before stopping to take a breath - then your intuition has yet another layer to get through and you lose your ability to see clear choices - and in my case, recall the destination
When you receive intuitive feedback (some call them aha moments), STOP - this is your time to investigate them. Of course at that time in my life my confidence muscle was very weak so I possibly wouldn't have followed my gut in that scenario
Your feelings, emotions and intuition have a message for you and they'll keep giving you that message until you 'get it' - oh yes I had many more until I GOT IT
Many years have passed since that scary day. I was 21 and my personal development journey didn't begin until I was about 24. A LOT has changed since then.
hone your listening skills to a point where you can easily trust your intuitive guidance. What difference
would that make to your choices? It certainly has helped me a lot!
Our course The Life Shift with The Internalists Way course has a whole module (called Imagine) which is about visualisation and how it helps you step into the intuitive stories that you want to manifest in your life.
